LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN ASSESSING VOCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT (Old A1)

This qualification is for learners aged 19 and above. This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment). The learner will have to hold at least a level two qualification in his/her area of competence.

In order to achieve this qualification the candidates will need to complete three mandatory units. .

1. Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
2. Assess occupational competence in the work environment
3. Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
