We help international students before and after arrival. Get visa aid, UK life guidance, short-term study prep. Plus library access 24/7 online, with e-learning facilities. For emergencies, dial 999/111 – free for police, fire, medical.

Counselling

Confidential one-on-one or group sessions for anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, trauma, grief, identity, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, academic struggles. No direct advice – just supportive talks. Call 033 3335 6463 to book. Workshops on exam anxiety, assertiveness, anger management. Support groups for bullying or bereavement – contact Student Services to join or start one. Industry experts available

Health Services

Bring doctor letters (English translated) for meds or long-term treatment. NHS free for emergencies, contagious diseases, psychiatric care. Over 6 months? Most services free (check IHS fee); register with doctor via Student Support. Under 6 months (non-EEA/Swiss)? Get insurance – exceptions for reciprocal countries.

If at risk, check handbook for team contacts. Financial aid guidance available – don’t let money stop you. Health team on campus for physical, mental, sexual issues, plus career/finance advice.

International & Travel Support

  • Free info on UK study, application process, costs, scholarships, living expenses.
  • Counselling for course/institution choice.
  • Visa application guidance, immigration docs. If refused, email admin with letter for deposit refund.
  • Pre-departure briefings for abroad journey.
  • Help with part-time jobs, accommodation (£100-160/week; we arrange with deposit and forms). Airport pickup.
  • Packing Checklist: Passport/visa, certificates (IELTS/TOEFL photocopy), offer letters, finances proof, university docs, photos, insurance/medical notes, driver’s license, accommodation directions, emergency numbers. Warm clothes, comfortable shoes, family photos/mementoes, passport photos. No cooking gear/bedding – buy cheap in London (Primark, Tesco, H&M, ASDA). Insure laptop. Check airline limits, UKVI for restrictions.
  • What You Can’t Do on Visa: No course changes, no state schools, no work/business (paid/unpaid), no extensions, no dependants, no benefits/pension.
Accommodation Living in London Initial Cash Payment Cards
£100-160 per week, based on facilities.
£1,483 per month (estimate; budget all costs).
£300-500 recommended for setup.
Use Visa, MasterCard, etc., for transport/food.
